Other activities are sparse, at least up on the mountain. Take advantage of a swell opportunity to kick back and take some time off. At Timberline Lodge you can relax in the pool, sauna or hydro-spa. Or shop for Timberline Lodge souvenirs, post cards or Timberline mascot Bruno plush toys at the Wy'East Store. Timberline Mountain Guides (800-464-7704 or 503-272-3699), in Government Camp, shows ice climbing beginners the ropes. SkiBowl has dogsled rides, a snow tubing park served by a tow rope, and horse-drawn sleigh rides, some with dinner. Hood River has nice boutique shopping.
