Sugarloaf / USA, Maine

Getting there:

By air: The closest commercial airport is the Portland International Jetport. There’s also a small regional airport in Augusta. Bangor International Airport is another access point. Guests who fly into Bangor or Portland and who reserve lodging and lift stays through Sugarloaf/USA reservations can reserve transportation at the time of booking. There is an airstrip for private planes in Carrabassett Valley.

By car: Take I-95 north to Augusta, Rte. 27 north through Farmington and Kingfield. Or take the Maine Turnpike to the Auburn exit, Rte. 4 to Farmington and Rte. 27 through Kingfield. The drive is about 2.5 hours from Portland.

Getting Around: A car is optional—nearly everything in the resort is within walking distance. A free on-mountain shuttle runs on weekends and during holiday periods and is on call during the week. To do anything away from the resort complex, you will need a car.
