Le Pub St-Edmond at Stoneham ski resort and snowboard resort in Quebec, CanadaApres-Ski / Nightlife

Because the base area is so small, it may be hard to believe that the Québecois leave Québec City and head here to have fun, but that’s what they do. Le Bar Le 4 Foyers, a funky Irish pub, brings in a wide range of musical performers, including the requisite rock bands and a disco night on Thursdays. It serves basic pub fare and screens nonstop snowboard flicks on the TV. There’s also a pool table in the back room.

Le Pub St-Edmond, on the other end of the village (a five-minute walk), offers a little more mellow fare, with folk and oldies plus a wide selection of beers. Skiers will find that even with a language barrier—many of Stoneham’s regular skiers speak no English—apres-ski conviviality prevails, and trying to make your French understood after a few drinks is actually fun.

If you have the energy after a day of skiing, the nightlife in Québec City rivals any near a ski resort in North America.
