Solitude
has beautiful Alpine-inspired, base-area lodgingjust enough
to be a full-service destination resort without the sprawl or crowds.
Everything is slopeside, most are ski-in, but none are ski-out since
you have to walk a few yards to the lifts. If you like to be first
on the lifts, stay here. All on-mountain guests have access to Club
Solitude, in Eagle Springs East. Lodging can be booked by calling

Eagle Springs West
and Eagle Springs East ($$$$$$$) both feature luxurious
one- to three-bedroom condominiums with hand-finished furnishings,
generous gourmet kitchens, comfortable living areas and balconies.
Heated sidewalks surround a large outdoor heated swimming pool with
a waterfall, plus a waterslide for kids of all ages. On each side
of the pool are 18-person hot tubs.
The Inn at Solitude
($$$$$$$) has 46 spacious rooms, most with two queen beds
(though kings and suites are available). All have terry-cloth robes
to wear to the outdoor pool and hot tub, hair dryers, mini-refrigerators,
TV with VCR (tape rentals available), and daily newspaper delivery.
The Inn also has a full-service spa.
Creekside at Solitude ($$$$; above) has 18 condos ranging in
size from one to three bedrooms. The condos are spacious and well-appointed,
and share an outdoor rooftop hot tub. Each unit has a private deck
and fireplace, full kitchen and TV with VCR. The three-bedroom units
have a jetted tub and four bathrooms, so the person sleeping on
the living room sofa has a bathroom, too. Powderhorn
Lodge ($$$$$$$) has one-, two- and three-bedroom condos
with gas fireplaces, full kitchens and laundry facilities. There's
an outdoor hot tub and a pool table in the lobby.
