Red Mountain Resort, British Columbia, Canada

Apres-Ski / Nightlife

For immediate apres-ski, head to the retro Rafter's Lounge upstairs in the base lodge, originally an old mining building. From old-timers to young freeriders, everyone lines up for cold drafts and launches into the day's tall tales, all the while surrounded by historical ski paraphernalia. Or try the more refined Gypsy at Red in the Red Robs to indulge in some mouth-watering tapas and wash them down with the drink of your choice.

By 5 p.m., the action has headed to Rossland, and it's mostly where you and your friends get together. Rock Cut Pub, just down the road, is apparently where all the locals go to get wild. It's got a big deck with an in-your-face view of the mountain, a billiard table, arcade games, ski movies and other sports-related programming on the TVs. Free appetizers every Friday from 4–6 p.m. Buy a jug of beer, get 10 free wings every day. Bands get the crowd rocking on weekends. Buffalo Ridge Sports Bar & Lounge at The Prestige Mountain Resort and Flying Steamshovel are other hot gathering spots.
