Getting there

By air: The airport in Castlegar, 20 miles north, has flights from Vancouver and Calgary. Hotel pickup and rental cars are available, or call Castlegar Taxi, (250) 365-7222. The nearest airport with U.S.-carrier service is Spokane, 125 miles south. The Red Express shuttle offers round-trip ground transportation between Red Mountain Resort and Spokane Airport and other airports listed here. Call resort reservations at (877) 969-7669. Red Mountain also partners with Dollar Rent-a-Car if you'd like to rent a vehicle. Kelowna Airport is a 3 to 3 1/2 hour drive and Trail Airport is a 15 minute drive.

By car: Red Mountain is 3 miles from the town of Rossland and only 10 miles from the Canada-U.S. border on Hwy. 3B. From Spokane, take Hwys. 395 and 25 north to Rossland for a 2 to 3 hour drive.

Getting around: We recommend a car for off-slope exploring. If you're staying up at the mountain and want to eat in town, you're out of luck without a car. The town bus and hotel shuttles only go to the mountain around 8:30–9:30 a.m. and have return pickups when the lifts close around 3:30 p.m.
