Getting there:

By air: The nearest major airports are Burlington, Vt.; Manchester, N.H.; or Hartford, Conn., all about two hours away. Regional service is available from Rutland (25 miles from Okemo) to Boston or from West Lebanon, N.H.

By car: Okemo is in south-central Vermont on Rte. 103 in Ludlow, about two hours from Albany, N.Y.; three hours from Boston; and 4.5 hours from New York City.

By train: Amtrak has service from New York’s Penn Station to Rutland, 25 miles from Okemo. Thrifty operates a car rental office at the train station in Rutland.

Getting around: We recommend a car. Unless you are staying on-mountain, parking can be a bear. If you’re staying in town, use the free Village Shuttle that operates four routes through Ludlow and Proctorsville on weekends and holidays, from 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. An on-mountain shuttle runs daily mid-December through March, connecting all on-mountain properties with the base area and the Nordic Center.
