The Okemo Valley Nordic Center (228-1396), set along the Black River a half-mile from Okemo Mountain, has fine facilities that include a rental and repair shop, a restaurant, and 26 km. of trails. Twenty are groomed for skate skiing. Instruction is available. It also has 10 km. of dedicated snowshoe trails. Changing rooms with showers are available.The center is open from 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on weekends and holidays; Monday through Friday, it opens at 9 a.m.

The Okemo Express Rental Shop (228-1780) at Okemo Mountain also rents snowshoes. Guided evening snowshoe tours are planned during the Christmas, Martin Luther King and Presidents Week holidays. Tours leave the Okemo base area at 7 p.m.
