Apres-ski / Nightlife

Mt. Bachelor and Bend are emerging as exciting apres-ski and dynamic nightlife venues. The Clearing Rock Bar in the upper level of the West Village lodge is where people gather when the lifts close. Occasionally it has live music.

At night in Bend, you have a growing number of choices. You may even run into someone you met earlier on a lift. For places to eat, drink and be seen try the Bend Brewing Company, Cascade Lakes Brewery or the Deschutes Brewery. Don't like beer? Get a swanky cocktail at the Bend Distillery (aka the Martini Bar), Astro Lounge or Twenty Eight, a new bar/lounge. Two clubs where you can try out your dance moves are The Grove, an alternative alternative, with live music and Jokers, that caters to the top 40 folks. An older crowd assembles at The Shilo Restaurant and Lounge and The Riverhouse, both in town, and at Owl's Nest Lounge at the Sunriver Resort. If Country & Western is your thang, then head to Tumalo Feed Company on Hwy. 20.

Bend's daily paper, The Bulletin, has a Saturday entertainment insert. Another newspaper with entertainment listings is The Source, published on Thursdays.
