Lessons

Group lessons: Half day, $35; full day, $50.

First-timer package: Beginner lift ticket, rentals and two-hour lesson for skiing or snowboarding is $45; add $15 to upgrade to a full day.

Private lessons: One or two people, half day costs $160 ($50 for each additional person); full day costs $310 ($55 for each additional person). One-hour Quick Tips costs $80 (as available). Reservations are recommended.

Special programs: Whitefish Mountain Resort has two-hour clinics for bumps, steeps and powder for $35. Telemark workshops and Teen Camp are by appointment only, $45. Women-only and men-only workshops and advanced skiing seminars are taught at select times. Call the Snow Sports Center at (406) 862-2909 for dates and prices.

Racing: A NASTAR course is open off Chair 3 Thursdays through Sundays 11 a.m.–3 p.m. Cost is $5 for two runs and $1 for each additional run.
